Metis Interpretive Project
We have just signed a memorandum of agreement with Parks Canada to deliver a Metis Interpretive Program at the Rocky Mountain House National Historic Site.

The Program was delivered and managed for 3 years Previously between Parks Canada and Metis Nation Region 3 of Calgary. The Local is very pleased to sign directly with Parks Canada. Thank you to Marlene Lanz, Region 3 President for recommending Rocky Mountain House Local 845 to independently manage this Cultural Interpretive Project. We are looking forward to a very successful Season.
We will be offering a traditional, TP or Trappers Tent camping opportunity to the Public this coming Season…Also Ruperts Land Colloquiem will be held in Rocky Mountain House in May. An international gathering of Academics interested in the Fur Trade History…A grand Opening of new Exhibits at the Historic Site will take place on May 17th including guest performances by Calgary Metis Dancers.
