Local845

National Aboriginal Day at the Lochearn/Pioneer Schools field was a success with many student and public observers and participants.  Council, elders, dancers and singers from local reserves as well as Local 845 board and Elders were present for the event as the Grand Entry was commenced at around 11:00am.  We would like to thank everyone who came out to support the event and help share an awareness of our Aboriginal heritage, and take the time to enjoy the teachings and celebration of this day.

I have asked around for some pictures and video of the event, and will post them when I can.
