July to August - 9 weeks Age 16-25
Salary per hour: $ 9.50
Description: The successful candidate will be at least 18 years of age and will have an interest in working with youth. Tasks will include, workshop delivery, supervisory tasks, networking, project assessment, reporting, staff meeting attendance, some admin tasks, such as letters, emails etc. The candidate will work directly in our UMAYC, Generation Youth project, under the supervision of the Project Coordinator, and Activities Director, participate in Cultural Camp, assist at the ALAPS summer session, attend Sunchild Pow Wow. The candidate will assist in the preparation of Monthly board report, and programming calendar for the Summer Months. Criminal records check and Child Welfare check, required. A valid drivers licence, an asset but not a requirement. Hours are 2-9pm Monday thru Fri, though Camp hours will vary, and some Saturdays apply. The candidate is a student, returning to their studies. Role model and leadership qualities, an asset.
